For those craving adventure, the unsealed Gibb River Road offers a multi-day outback experience along one of Australia’s most iconic drives.

Travelling from Darwin? The drive spans 829 kilometres (approximately 8.5 hours) along the Stuart and Victoria Highways. The route takes you through Katherine (510km from Kununurra) and Timber Creek (253km away), offering scenic stops along the way.

If you’re setting off from Perth, brace yourself for the ultimate road trip: about 3,200 kilometres or 33 hours, depending on your chosen path.
