Accessibility at HeliSpirit

At HeliSpirit, we are proud to deliver extraordinary aerial adventures across some of Australia’s most remote and iconic landscapes

With nine unique operating bases across Western Australia and the Northern Territory, we are committed to creating inclusive experiences that allow as many people as possible to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of our region.

We understand that every guest has individual needs, and we encourage you to get in touch with our team so we can help tailor your experience. While we do our best to accommodate all guests, it’s important to note that the level of accessibility varies between our bases due to the nature of our remote locations.

Kununurra Base Accessibility

Our Kununurra base offers the most comprehensive accessibility features across the HeliSpirit network. Facilities at this location include:

  • Ramp access and accessible parking bays
  • Slip-resistant, wide entry pathways
  • Clearly marked signage and accessible toilets
  • Reception counter with low-height service points
  • Quiet waiting area available upon request
  • Staff trained in disability awareness and communication
  • Guests using mobility aids or who need additional support are encouraged to contact us ahead of their visit so we can make necessary arrangements. You can view our Kununurra Accessibility Guide here for further detail.

Accessibility Across Our Remote Bases

HeliSpirit operates from several remote and nature-based locations, including:

  • Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle)
  • Mitchell Falls
  • Warmun
  • Lake Argyle
  • El Questro
  • Esperance
  • Bullo River Station
  • Katherine (NT)

Due to their natural terrain, seasonal conditions, and limited infrastructure, accessibility options vary significantly between these locations. Some bases may involve gravel paths, uneven ground, or steps, and may not be suitable for guests using wheelchairs or with highly restricted mobility.

That said, we are committed to doing what we can. Many of our bases offer:

  • Assistance with boarding and disembarking
  • Seating and shade while waiting
  • Flexible options for guests with cognitive or sensory impairments

Please contact our team prior to booking so we can discuss your specific needs and advise on the most appropriate location or experience for you.

Partnering for Accessible Travel

HeliSpirit is proud to partner with:
